Although Ms Truss will try to curry favor with rebel MPs as they return this week, one former minister said: “There will be a higher level of organisation. “The most likely outcome is a power leak, leading to a collapse in four to eight months.” Even one MP who supports Ms Truss described her reign as the “worst self-inflicted political disaster of my life”. They said: “He has only lost two teams in the last few weeks. The problem is that it is the parliamentary party and the country. It is the worst political disaster I have brought upon myself in my life. “Before I was sure that I would win my place. The MRP poll by Survation for the 38 Degrees campaign put Labor on 59% in the capital, the Tories on 22% and the Lib-Dems on 13%. Survation analysis found the Tories would lose all 21 of their London seats if the results were repeated at the next General Election expected in 2024.
