One person was taken to hospital after being rescued from the St. Marys by emergency crews on Friday. Sault Ste. Marie Police Department spokesman Lincoln Louttit told SooToday that officers responded to a report of a person in the river around 9 a.m. “Thanks to the assistance of the public, officers were able to locate the individual and pull him out of the water,” Ludit said.
