Kelowna RCMP are investigating a hit and run in the Black Mountain area that left an electric scooter rider with serious injuries. We’re learning more about a crash in the Black Mountain area on Saturday. Kelowna RCMP are actively investigating the incident as a hit and run. A 59-year-old man was riding his electric scooter near the intersection of Lewis Road and Garner Road at about 3:10 p.m. on October 29, when he was struck by another vehicle. The man suffered serious injuries and is currently being treated at Kelowna General Hospital. The suspect vehicle is believed to be a smaller car, possibly green in color. Police are appealing for the driver to come forward. They are also asking witnesses or anyone who may have dash cam footage to call Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300. The file number is 2022-67981. In a Kelowna Alert Facebook post, a woman says it was her father who was hit and has serious injuries. He also appealed for anyone with information to come forward.
