Wick-ham! From the halfway line!

FA Cup: Conor Wickham sealed Forest Green’s win over South Shields with a Puskas Award contender near the halfway mark. Spotting South Shields keeper Myles Boney a few yards outside his own goal, the well-travelled striker tried his luck and sent a stunning chip into the top corner, just out of reach of the frantically backpedaling Boney. . It was Wickham’s second goal of the game and almost certainly his best ever goal. Have at it! Updated at 14:23 GMT

TARGET! Sheffield United 5-2 Burnley (McBarney 74)

Championship: Unbeaten in 16 games, Vincent Kompany’s side are currently being swept aside by Sheffield United at Bramall Lane. Oli McBurnie just capitalized on a catalog of defensive errors to score his second of the game. FA Cup First Round: Northern Premier League side South Shields are out. Kevin Phillips’ side were beaten 2-0 by League One side Forest Green.

TARGET! Sheffield United 4-2 Burnley (Ahmenhozdic 68)

Championship: Anel Ahmedhozdic extends Sheffield United’s lead with his fourth goal of the season, reacting quickly to latch onto the ball from the edge of the six-yard box after Burnley failed to clear a corner.

TARGET! Sheffield United 3-2 Burnley (Robinson 65)

Championship: It was quite the game of two halves for Jack Robinson, who was directly responsible for two of Burnley’s first-half goals but has since redeemed himself. After helping to set up Sheffield United’s second goal against the league leaders, he has just scored his third. Burnley are seriously under the spell and struggling to deal with United’s set-pieces. Yellow card watch: There are 11 Premier League footballers who are just one booking away from a Premier League suspension and also have World Cup hopes. Only a cynic would suggest that some of them might be deliberately trying to take one today or tomorrow to take next weekend off and greatly reduce their chances of picking up a dream injury before Qatar, but for curiosity’s sake, maybe it’s worth noting. Those to watch: Chris Mepham (Bournemouth), Aleksandar Mitrovic (Fulham), Alexis McAllister (Brighton), Amadou Onana (Everton), Diego Dalot (Manchester United), Thilo Kerrer (West Ham), Fabian Sarr (Newcastle), Gabriel Jesus (Arsenal), William Saliba (Arsenal), Rodrigo Bedancourt (Tottenham) and Harry Kane (Tottenham). FA Cup first round

Having won the competition five times between them, Sheffield Wednesday and Portsmouth advanced to the second round last night, beating Morecambe and Hereford respectively. Earlier this afternoon, South Shields, under the management of Kevin Phillips, kicked off earlier with League One side Forest Green, who are four places above the former Sunderland legend’s side. Currently 17th in the Southern Premier Central, Alvechurch are the lowest-ranked team left in the competition and face a trip to League One side Cheltenham Town, while fifth-placed Coalville Town in the same division as Coalville, head to The Valley to face Charlton. Championship

Sheffield United and Burnley got the day’s Championship action going early at a packed Bramall Lane. It’s now 2-2 in a thriller, with Sheffield United coming from behind twice despite a first-half horror show from Jack Robinson. Not content with heading Manuel Benson’s cross into his own net, the Sheffield United defender then chased down the ball just outside the penalty area, allowing Benson to steal possession and unleash Wes Foderingham. Iliman Ndiaye scored for Sheffield United in the first half, while Robinson was instrumental in setting up United’s second, which Oli McBurnie just scored.
