Republicans were expected to pick up three Senate seats from Democrats, winning a 53-47 majority after two years out of office, according to the latest RealClearPolitics projection. The same publication predicts that the GOP will regain its majority in the House by winning at least 227 seats. Democrats are expected to win at least 174 seats, with the remaining 34 races considered upsets that could give the GOP its largest convention since 1946 if they break the Republican path.
