ORIGINAL 6:18 p.m Old Man Winter has arrived in a big way and it is wreaking havoc on the inner streets. DriveBC reports that Highway 1 is closed in both directions at Juniper Beach Prov Park Access Road, 17 km east of Cache Creek due to an accident. There are reports of heavy snowfall in the area. Estimated opening time is not available and is under evaluation. There is no bypass. There is also a multi-car accident at Rogers Way and Hugh Allan Drive in Kamloops. Unconfirmed reports say up to 20 vehicles are involved. An accident is slowing traffic on Highway 97 in both directions due to a vehicle incident between Hills Frontage Road and Loon Lake Road, 17 km south of Clinton to 12 km north of Cache Creek. The section of highway has been reduced to alternating single lane traffic.
