A 44-year-old man from Manchester, believed to be known to the victims, was arrested last night in Kent on suspicion of murder.  Jakub was 15, not 14, as Greater Manchester police had previously reported. 

His mother, as it is understood, is in her 40s. She is named and depicted here after a person close to her asked for her permission. Forensic teams are gathering evidence. Neighbors spoke of their shock after the incident, which occurred around 9.30pm on Thursday. Jakub’s mother, Katarzyna, was left with serious injuries, police said. She remains in the hospital, in a stable condition, mourning the loss of her son. Unfortunately he died about an hour later. A person close to Jakub, who asked not to be named, told MEN: “There is no way the boy is not a hero. Everyone here knew him for his kindness and respect. He was an amazing man, he was a hero and we must remember him as one.” Jakub is considered to have been one of the four brothers. The murder investigation is being led by the GMP Major Cases Team, with a police cordon remaining in place Saturday morning. One could see a bunch of flowers in honor of Jakub. Our thoughts are very much with the family and we are absolutely committed to determining exactly what happened last night.
