The storm knocked out power to hundreds of thousands of people, but next weekend will be free of tropical weather. Saturday starts with temperatures in the 50s. A little drizzle remains in some areas, but the chance for continued rain on Saturday is slim. Instead the day will be mostly cloudy with wind from the south at 10-20 mph. Temperatures will climb into the mid 60s. Some areas may see some cloud breaking later in the day and into the evening. Sunday will be pretty similar to Saturday, but rain chances will increase and winds will pick up — with gusts between 20-30 miles per hour.

The end of Ian

Ian is now a post-tropical cyclone. As of Saturday morning, rain from Ian had been dumped into the northeastern states. The storm dropped an average of between 2-4 inches of rain across central North Carolina on Friday.
