British Hostages Held By Amazon Tribe Armed With Bows And Arrows Ask Peruvian Government For Help
A group of about 100 people were traveling by boat earlier this week in northeastern Peru when locals from the Cucamá indigenous communities, reportedly armed with spears and bows and arrows, forced them to dock. They said they were protesting a deadly oil spill and would not release the group until the Peruvian government and Petroperu, the state oil company, dealt with the matter.
