Drivers in West Kelowna are being advised of a pair of road closures next week. Crews are set to begin work on installing water lines on Menu Road, connecting to the new Rose Valley Water Treatment Plant. Beginning Monday, October 17, an alternating single lane traffic pattern will be in effect from 1247 Menu Road to Ourtoland Road on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout construction and bicyclists are encouraged to dismount from the construction zone. Emergency vehicle access will be maintained at all times. Across town, on Tuesday, October 18, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., Boucherie Street will be closed between Hayman and Hudson streets for seasonal boulevard maintenance. For the safety of crews and the public, the work will require a full closure for motorists, cyclists and pedestrians. Crews will maintain access for emergency vehicles, residents living in the immediate work area, buses and transit users.
