At about 10:09 p.m. on Saturday, June 4, police responded to Foxx’s home when her husband, Kelley Foxx, called 911 to report a domestic incident involving his wife, according to the report. Kelley told police Kimberly, according to a police report, said Kim Foxx was outraged “by something posted on Facebook that she did,” the document said. Then, when Kimberly asked him to leave, he refused, the officer noted. At that point, Kimberly “became physically fit” and Kelley said she was prevented from leaving the bathroom, police said. Kimberly “grabbed his collar and threw down his video game controller,” the report said. “He tried to turn on the TV and Kimberly grabbed the controller from his hand and threw the controller.” The officer wrote that while Kelley explained what happened, Kimberly said “all this is true”. Kelley told police that Kimberly slapped him and showed him that she had been slapped on his left cheek, according to documents. The officer used his flashlight to see Kelley’s cheek and “did not notice any markers supporting his claim that he was hit.” Kelley told officers he simply wanted “someone to understand what was going on here,” saying Kimberly was “physically aggressive” and simply wanted to stop, authorities said. Kimberly told police she put her hands on Kelley, but only to “help him drive him out of the house,” the officer said. He also claimed that he did not slap Kelley, according to the report. When police asked Kimberly if she felt safe at home with Kelley, she said, “I mean, he’s not crazy,” the report said. Both spouses informed the police that they have been together for over 20 years and things “were never physical”. Kimberly said she felt Kelley called police just to hurt her, according to the report. No one chose to leave their home after the incident. In a joint statement, Kelley and Kim Foxx said: “This is a personal family matter and we urge you to give our family respect and privacy.”
