Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas, said Friday that Vice President Kamala Harris and the Biden administration are “playing games,” calling the border crisis a “self-inflicted wound” from their policies over the past two years. McCaul joined “Faulkner Focus” to respond to Kamala Harris’s claims that the administration is “trying to remake” the immigration system. The Texas congressman said “there are nearly 5 million illegal immigrants in the US since the beginning of the Biden administration.” “My Texans are flooding into the Valley,” McCaul told Harris Faulkner from Pennsylvania, where House Republicans gathered at a town hall event to unveil their midterm platform. Ron DeSandis for sending immigrants to liberal hot spots, saying they paid more attention to the crisis. “I think what my governor, Greg Abbott and De Sandys, are trying to show is that we’re dealing with this issue every day and giving them a dose of their medicine so they can see what’s happened as a result of their policies.” Faulkner recently traveled to Texas to witness the crisis firsthand. McCaul applauded Abbott for stepping up his response to the Operation Lone Star crisis, despite the fact that border security is a federal responsibility.
“They (the Biden administration) are complicit in the deaths of all these children and human trafficking. And this should not have happened. It’s a completely self-inflicted wound,” McCaul said. CLICK HERE TO GET THE FOX NEWS APP Harris criticized Republican leaders in a Vice video posted Wednesday, suggesting they are making life worse for women and asylum seekers. “They’re playing games,” Harris said. “These are political stunts with real human beings getting away with evil. Do you know what’s going on in Venezuela right now?” He commented that these immigrants “came to the United States of America seeking refuge – asylum. I think it’s the height of irresponsibility – much less – frankly, dereliction of duty when you’re an elected leader to play these kinds of games with human life.” Landers asked Harris if she could “understand the frustration that Americans have about situation at the border”.
