The weather service has issued three snowfall warnings for these areas.

“A low pressure system will approach the South Coast of BC (Saturday night) bringing rain and snow to the region,” Environment Canada said in a warning. Wet snow is expected to fall around sea level, but snow accumulation will likely be around 100 meters in elevation. In Metro Vancouver, 5 to 10 cm of snow is expected, with Howe Sound expecting about 15 cm and the Chilcotin about 10 to 20 cm. Story continues below ad

BC drivers are warned that driving conditions can change quickly with incoming snow. “Be prepared to adapt your driving to changing road conditions,” said Environment Canada. “If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and prepare to stop.” The snowy conditions are expected to last through Sunday morning. 2:32 BC evening weather forecast: 4 NOV © 2022 Global News, a division of Corus Entertainment Inc.
