Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement that includes heavy snow in the forecast. Locations affected include southwestern parts of interior BC including the Central Okanagan, South Okanagan, 100 Mile House, Fraser Canyon, Similkameen, Nicola, South Thompson and both Coquihalla and Allison Pass highways. Environment Canada expects this snowfall to occur Sunday morning November 6th and last until about noon Monday, with the heaviest snow coming Sunday night. Environment Canada says a Pacific frontal system will spread precipitation across southern parts of interior B.C. on Sunday, with a cold air mass that has moved in from the north ensuring that the snow will fall right down to the valley floor. At least 5 to 15 cm of snow is expected, with higher amounts in higher elevation areas.
