Street Fighter 6

Just a week after the game was officially unveiled, Capcom is already giving fans a new, expanded look at Street Fighter 6, the company’s next-generation fighting game. On Thursday at the Summer Game Fest, Capcom showed Guile in the fight against Luke’s American opponent and veteran fighter Ryu.

Aliens: Dark Descent Aliens: Dark Descent is a new third-person action game from Tindalos Interactive. The movie trailer for Dark Descent shows a small group of colonial Marines working to move to a base of some sort. We see a group of four Marines using automatic weapons and a rocket launcher to slow down – but not stop – a surge of creatures. Announced at Summer Game Fest, Aliens: Dark Descent is coming in 2023.

The Callisto Protocol

Striking Distance CEO Glen Schofield prepares for Summer Game Fest to present a new trailer and gameplay for The Callisto Protocol – a trailer that host Geoff Keighley called the “Schofield cut” – that takes home how dangerous can be the space. The video debuted on Thursday during the Summer Game Fest, showcasing more of the game’s viscous threat than ever before.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

A new level for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 was unveiled at Summer Game Fest. The level, called Dark Water, is on a huge cargo ship. The ship level trailer shows some impressive graphics and ammunition from the game, but the most notable part may be its moving cover.

Retrospect 2

A cult classic platformer, developed by Microids Studio Lyon, finally gets a sequel 30 years after the game’s original release date. Flashback 2 also has a release window. Announced during the Summer Game Fest, the game will be released in the winter of 2022.

Fort Solis

Two veterans of the industry: Troy Baker (The Last of Us) and Roger Clark (Red Dead Redemption 2) have teamed up to work on a new thriller game on Mars called Fort Solis. The two announced the game on stage at Thursday’s Summer Game Fest.
The game’s debut trailer came up with the idea: The space colonists have colonized Mars, but then something goes wrong. The frantic emergency clips of the base end up in one last clip of a man saying, “Something is happening here and I need to know what it is.”

Routine

The sci-fi horror game Routine has finally got an update after almost a decade of development. The new trailer premiered during the Summer Game Fest on Thursday. The game is available for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Game Pass, but has no release date yet. The trailer for Routine’s revelation brings players back to their dark and creepy futuristic environment, using all the in-game shots. According to a press release from developer Lunar Software, the team revived the game by building it from scratch to better fit its original vision.

Stormgate

Frost Giant Studios, a team of many former Blizzard Entertainment developers who worked on games such as StarCraft 2 and Warcraft 3, unveiled the game on Thursday at Summer Game Fest. Stormgate is a new real-time strategy game that promises an “ever-evolving story through exciting campaign missions where science fiction and fantasy clash.”

Highwater

Publisher Rogue Games and developer Demagog are urging players to enter a gloomy, flooded world of Highwater, the “isometric survival game based on storytelling” announced Thursday during the Summer Game Fest.

Goat Simulator 3 Coffee Stain Studios took us once again. No, this was not a trailer for Dead Island 2, it’s Goat Simulator 3 – once again in a Dead Island trailer. The Goat Simulator 3 trailer debuted on Thursday during the Summer Game Fest. Of course, there is no Goat Simulator 2, and to call it Goat Simulator 3 makes sense. Chaos. Coming to PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and Windows via the Epic Games Store in 2022.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns Marvel’s Midnight Suns, the next turn-based game from the team behind XCOM, unveiled a new – and unusual – turn-based feature on Thursday. You can see more in a new game trailer released during the Summer Game Fest.

DLC Cuphead’s Delicious Last Course Ahead of the release date of Cuphead’s new DLC, Studio MDHR unveiled a new trailer during Summer Game Fest on Thursday. The new DLC, called The Delicious Last Course, is coming to Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Windows PC on June 30th.

Honkai: Star Rail

Honkai: Star Rail is a new open science fiction adventure by the creators of Genshin Impact. The game follows the story of a protagonist who has embarked on an interstellar journey with the Astral Express. The game has a turn-based battle system that lets you assemble a team of unique fighters, each with their own different battle skills.

Zenless Zone Zero

Zenless Zone Zero is HoYoverse’s latest work. The luxury movie trailer was unveiled during the live stream of the Summer Game Fest. Presenter Geoff Keighley kicked off the trailer with a note of analysis, saying that ZZZ offers “Genshin Impact details with a quick action style”. The “futuristic urban action game”, as he called it, takes place in a city called New Eridu, where a huge conspiracy of some kind is confused.

TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge

Old-school beat-’em-up Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge takes on a seventh character he can play, Casey Jones, Tribute Games developer and Dotemu unveiled at Summer Game Fest on Thursday. Jones, the hockey player holding the sticks, will join Donatello, Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael, Splinter and April O’Neil in paying tribute to Konami’s old Ninja Turtle.

One Piece Odyssey

Bandai Namco has unveiled a new look at One Piece Odyssey, a new JRPG based on the long-running anime and manga One Piece. The publisher revealed new information about the next big adventure of the Straw Hats at the Summer Game Fest on Thursday.

Saints Row Boss Factory The upcoming restart of Volition for Saints Row, simply titled Saints Row, will not be available until August 23 – but you can go ahead and design your character now. Saints Row Boss Factory is a pre-download version that is now available on all platforms.

Nightingale

Inflexion Games Nightingale’s first-person survival game hit the Summer Game Fest on Thursday with a new trailer showing how its card system blends in with its 3D world. Nightingale is described as a common world, player-against-environment game, in which players will fight and conquer the Victorian fantasy world and visit many different realms. (Cards, it seems, are very important for realm-hopping.)

Layers of Fear

The Bloober team receives another knife in the psychological and psychedelic horror franchise Layers of Fear. Layers of Fears, officially announced at Summer Game Fest on Thursday, will be released on the PlayStation 5, Windows PC Xbox Series X in early 2023. Judging by the trailer, it definitely has this familiar, creepy atmosphere. The story will not focus on one character. Instead, it will unfold in different generations.

Knights of Gotham

Batman may be out of the picture at Gotham Knights, but there are still many criminals to keep the city safe. The latest DC universe game from WB Games Montreal received a new demo of the game on Thursday during the Summer Game Fest, and this time, the main target was Dick Grayson, also known as Nightwing. The trailer lets Nightwing introduce himself a bit, before showing some of his impressive moves in battle. It has double bats, an anchor hook, a missile launcher and some fantastic martial arts.

The Last of Us Part 1 An updated version of The Last of Us will be released on September 2 on the PlayStation 5 and will be released later on Windows. The remake has a new name, The Last of Us Part 1, to align with the title of the game’s sequel to the 2020 PlayStation 4, The Last of Us Part 2. Naughty Dog co-chairman Neil Druckmann confirmed the remake of The Last of Us at Summer Game Fest on Thursday, calling the PlayStation 5 reissue the “final version” of the game.
