From the initial information we’ve been given, Quavo has been hooking up with some of his friends on Houston’s Northside in the larger Fifth Ward. Hours later, the couple and their friends headed into town in South Houston for a private gathering to celebrate the birthday of Jas Prince, son of Mr. J. Prince.
However, after he left the party, a brawl ensued, resulting in Takeoff’s death. From the original tweets and information gathered below, you can see some of the stories of what people there said happened.
We are not investigators nor will we theorize about what happened. That’s a job for the Houston Police Department to do, as well as watch security footage of exactly what happened. Check back throughout the day as this post will be updated with feedback from those who attended the event.
UPDATE: It has now been confirmed that the incident occurred at 810 Billiards & Bowling Houston, a popular bowling alley in the city. According to official reports, Takeoff and Quavo were actually playing dice when a fight broke out. There, someone opened fire and hit Takeoff in the torso. Houston police also revealed that two others were shot and taken to the hospital in private vehicles, where their condition has not been released.
