The accident, in which a Vauxhall Corsa and a Skoda Fabia were involved, happened around 1.40 am, on Scarborough Road near Driffield. Police have closed the road as they investigate the accident. At noon on Saturday, there was no indication of when it would reopen. Humberside police are now calling on anyone who saw the accident or who may have seen the cars a little earlier to come forward. The spokesman said: “Officers investigating a deadly car crash are calling for witnesses to come. “The collision occurred around 1.40 on Saturday morning at B1249 near Driffield, when a red Vauxhall Corsa and a red Skoda Fabia allegedly went off the road. An 18-year-old man was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene. “His family has been informed and supported by specially trained officers. Our thoughts are with them at this difficult time.
