Partly funded by the province’s Active Transportation grant program, BC Transport and Infrastructure Minister Rob Fleming will be accompanied by Mayor Colin Basran and Okanagan College President Dr. Neil Fassina to discuss the project and what it means to the residents. From late December 2021 to mid-January 2022, Kelowna residents were encouraged by the city to comment on the concept design on Casorso Road between KLO Road and Barrera Road. This new corridor has closed the last gap in the existing north-south network by extending the connection between Ethel and Casorso, merging the city center and Capri-Landmark areas with Pandosy and Lower Mission. This new trail will give cyclists and walkers better access to major destinations in Kelowna, such as Okanagan College, Casorso Elementary School and Pandosy Urban Center. Photo: City of Kelowna
