The Burned Islands community declared a state of emergency. Residents are asked to stay in their homes unless they are in danger. Roads in the community are not safe at this time. The road is impassable and closed. Other parts of the roads are under salt water and are not safe. Pictures from the community show houses tilting, sliding and collapsing on the rocks.
