AirPods Pro 2 connectivity issues
According to some MacRumors readers, Apple’s AirPods Pro 2 sometimes disconnect from their paired iPhone/iPad for no apparent reason. So you may experience annoying interruptions while enjoying your favorite TV series or music playlists. The headphones still show as connected, but no sound is actually playing through them. Some users of first generation models have reported similar problems in the past. Three years after the initial release of the AirPods Pro, Apple seems to have yet to address these connectivity issues. Mine keeps disconnecting from my iPhone randomly throughout the day. Also sometimes it shows they are connected but no sound so I have to reconnect them. I hope this is just a software issue. I’m having connection problems too. Similar to others, sometimes it shows connected to my iPhone in settings, but no sound plays through AirPods only through iPhone, and AirPods don’t show up in the dropdown shade. At this time, we don’t yet know how widespread this bug is. We certainly hope this is a software bug that Apple will fix in a future update — rather than a hardware defect that could warrant a product recall. If your AirPods Pro 2 are affected, you can disconnect them from your iPhone or iPad and then reconnect them — as a temporary solution. Having problems with your AirPods Pro 2?
