Drivers are advised to be prepared to adapt to changing road conditions as visibility may drop suddenly at times during periods of heavy snowfall.

BC’s first Arctic breakout of the season is approaching next week

Arctic air will push south by early next week, giving the opportunity for even more low-level precipitation to transition to snow. “With BC’s first arctic outbreak of the season arriving next week, more snow is expected at lower elevations across the province, which may be unusual this early in the season,” says Kelly Sonnenburg, meteorologist at The Weather Network. During most of next week, with the exception of the Lower Mainland and greater Victoria, daytime high temperatures will be below freezing across the province. Both Sunday and Monday have a chance to bring more snow to the Lower Mainland and parts of Vancouver Island.
