The Spurs are trying to strengthen their ranks throughout the field as they aim for another season of progress. Tottenham qualified for the Champions League next season, but can not slow down if they want to continue playing at the top level. As a result, Tottenham boss Antonio Conte brought in Ivan Perisic, a key ally with whom he worked at Inter. The Spurs have also solved the problem with the back-up goalkeepers, with Fraser Forster replacing Pierluigi Gollini in this role. A third big priority for Conte and Tottenham is a new central defender. Inter’s Alessandro Bastoni has been a key target, with Torino’s Gleason Bremer also on the list. According to Calciomercato, however, Bremer’s compatriot, Brazilian Ibaneth, is another star on the club’s radar in north London. The report claims that Conte always saw the 23-year-old. Tottenham also had a long-term interest in Ibanez and joined the transfer window last summer. Going into the current market, Roma is willing to lose Ibanez, but only for 30 million euros (εκατο 25 million). With Inter estimating Bastoni between και 51m and 60 60m, it is a much more achievable goal. Or, it could be a cheaper alternative if a Bastoni deal does not work.

Roma are targeting West Ham if Ibaneth leaves

Ibanez was a special star for Jose Mourinho’s Roma last season. He played all 13 Europa Conference League games to lead his team to victory in the final against Feyenoord. While Roma finished only sixth in Serie A, Ibanez played 34 league games and was still vital. Having joined Roma permanently from Atalanta last summer, his contract runs until 2025. However, if Ibanez leaves this summer, Calciomercato points to the Arthur Theater in Bologna as a successor. West Ham are interested in the Belgian together with Nayef Aggerd of Rennes.

Serie A is happy to hunt Tottenham

It is clear that Conte and Tottenham’s football director Fabio Paratici are targeting Serie A players to strengthen the Spurs’ ranks. The first three goals of the center back star in the Italian top division, while Perisic signed from Inter. Conte signed Juventus couple Rodrigo Bendancour and Dejan Kuluszewski in January. They starred in the first four of the Spurs of the Premier League which created the enthusiasm for the summer transfer activities of the club. Conte knows he needs to strengthen his ranks to keep his team playing and it would not be a surprise to see one – or more – recruits coming from Serie A.
