The provincial government amended the regulations on motor vehicles that allow Ukrainian drivers to exchange their driving licenses with those of Newfoundland and Labrador. Some Ukrainians have faced high prices when looking for car insurance in Newfoundland and Labrador. The transfer of licenses will allow them to receive more reasonable prices. Newcomers to Ukraine aged 17 and over can exchange Category 5 driving licenses at any Car Registry office if they hold a Ukrainian driving license and proof that their license has not been suspended, revoked, revoked or expired for more than five years.
