Western Health Encourages Residents To Book Your Covid Booster

(Photo via Gov of PEI.) Western Health is encouraging residents to book their COVID-19 booster shot this fall. All over 5s are eligible for the booster, provided it’s been 20 weeks since their last dose. Health Canada has approved Moderna’s Spikevax Bivalent vaccine, which is more effective at fighting variants of COVID and is available to people aged 65 and older, living in long-term care, at increased risk of serious illness, living in Indigenous communities, in tribal communities or marginalized communities or slum dwellers. Clinics are available throughout the Western Health region.
