At around 11pm on Thursday, police were called to the intersection of Notre Dame Avenue and Arlington Street after a man was reportedly attacked. Police found the 55-year-old with multiple injuries on his upper body at the bus stop. He was taken to hospital and later released. Police said the suspect, who was left behind at the scene, was arrested without incident. According to the police, the police claim that the victim was waiting at the bus stop when he was attacked, “without provocation”. “The accused and the victim were previously unknown to each other,” police said in a press release. Nathaniel Aaron Pittman was charged with assault that caused bodily harm. The charge has not been tried in court. He was detained.
