The Ministry of Labor has launched an investigation after a worker fatally fell from a roof at an Etobicoke construction site on Friday.
Toronto police said they responded to an incident on Thornly Crescent, near Kipling Avenue and Rathburn Street, where a worker fell 15 feet from a roof Friday morning.  The victim was taken to the hospital, according to police.
On Saturday, the Department of Labor confirmed that the person, who worked for Etobicoke contractor Caruk Hall, succumbed to his injuries.
“We are sorry to learn of this incident.  Our thoughts are with the family, friends and colleagues of the deceased worker,” the ministry said in a statement.
At this time the investigation is ongoing.
